A community meeting about volcanic ash and vog will take place today in Volcano.
The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Cooper Center.
Meanwhile, an eruption at Kilauea’s summit at 4:10 p.m. Wednesday sent ash up to 10,000 feet above sea level. Winds were expected to carry ash to the southwest.
